Terms of Service
Effective date: 2026-08-16 · Last updated: 2026-08-16 · Version: 3.1.0
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern access to Romergo, a service for creating, storing, publishing, and playing interactive quests that may contain text, images, audio, video, and other files. Romergo is operated by Roman Beganov as an individual under the Romergo brand, without a separately incorporated or registered business entity (“Romergo”, “we”, or “us”).
These are the current service terms. They do not claim that Romergo complies with every law in every country.
2. Eligibility and age
Romergo currently has no platform-wide age restriction. You must still be legally able to agree to these Terms; where a parent or guardian must act for you, use Romergo only with their involvement.
Quest-level advisory labels (`Everyone`, `12+`, `16+`, and `18+`) are reserved for a future optional feature. If an author later marks a quest `18+`, the planned access step is a simple user confirmation that they are at least 18; Romergo does not currently perform identity or age-document verification.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate information, keep your authentication methods secure, and promptly tell [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise. Do not share access in a way that bypasses account or plan limits.
4. Permitted use
You may use Romergo to create, collaborate on, test, publish, and play lawful interactive content. You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy and Content Guidelines, respect technical limits, and avoid interfering with the service or other users.
5. Your content and your rights
You retain the copyright and other rights you hold in content you submit. You promise that you have the rights, licences, permissions, and consents needed to upload, process, and publish that content, including music, voices, fonts, images, video, and AI-generated material.
You grant Romergo a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, transform, transcode, display, transmit, back up, and publish your content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and deliver the service according to your settings. This licence lasts while the content is stored or published, plus a reasonable period for backups and technical removal.
Romergo does not receive a right to sell your works or use them outside the purpose of providing the service unless you separately and explicitly agree. This licence does not transfer ownership of your content to Romergo.
6. Public, unlisted, and private projects
Publishing can make a quest available to players. Public projects may be listed or indexed; unlisted projects may be accessible to anyone with the link; private access is limited by the available access controls. No access control is an absolute guarantee against copying or disclosure. Review every project before publishing and do not include secrets or unnecessary personal data.
7. Moderation and enforcement
Romergo may investigate reports and, where reasonably necessary, warn a user, limit a feature, hide a publication, remove content, suspend access, or terminate an account. We may act without advance notice for urgent safety, security, legal, or service-integrity reasons. Where practical, we will provide a reason and a way to contact support.
8. Prohibited and unlawful use
Do not use Romergo for unlawful activity, rights infringement, malware, phishing, exploitation, threats, impersonation, privacy violations, abusive automation, security circumvention, or disruption. The full rules and possible responses appear in the Acceptable Use Policy.
9. Third-party services
Romergo relies on third-party infrastructure and services, including authentication, hosting, storage, and email delivery. Their availability and separate terms may affect the service. Links to third-party sites do not imply endorsement, and Romergo is not responsible for content controlled by those providers.
10. Availability and changes
The service may change, be interrupted, or have features added or removed. We aim to preserve user work but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Keep independent copies of important source files and exports.
11. Free access, paid plans, and billing
Playing published quests is free. Creating quests starts on the Free plan; the Pricing page lists the intended prices, limits, and features for Pro and Team.
Paid checkout and automatic subscriptions are not currently available. Selecting Pro or Team inside Builder opens a request form. Sending that form does not create a purchase, subscription, invoice, renewal, or charge, and it does not guarantee that paid access will be granted.
Before Romergo enables paid checkout, the service will identify the payment provider and explain recurring terms, taxes, cancellation, refunds, and payment-data handling. The checkout must show the selected plan, billing period, currency, taxes, and total before payment. The Refund Policy describes the current no-checkout state and the minimum process required before payments can begin.
Until checkout is enabled, paid plan access may be assigned manually. Existing projects and owner access to `.romergo` archives are preserved if a manual entitlement ends, but paid features may become unavailable and uploads may be limited by the resulting plan quota.
12. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Romergo is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that every project will be preserved, accepted, indexed, suitable for a purpose, or free from interruption. Statutory rights that cannot be excluded remain unaffected.
13. Limitation of liability
These Terms do not state a contractual monetary liability cap. Responsibility for a specific matter is determined by the facts and the rules that apply to it. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
14. Termination and data
You may stop using Romergo and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, legal requirements, security risks, or discontinuation. Before termination, export data you need. Some records may remain for legal, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, or backup purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The page shows the version and dates. Material changes are marked as major and require existing users to accept the new active version before protected actions. Editorial changes may be marked minor and do not automatically require renewed acceptance.
16. Governing law and disputes
Romergo has not selected an exclusive governing law or dispute forum in these Terms. The law and competent forum for a dispute are determined by the circumstances and any mandatory rules that apply.
